Sixth grade scientists are using technology to learn about movement. Armed with digital data collection devices and motion detectors, students were able to detect various movements from themselves as well as other objects. the motion sensor uses echo location to detect movement and send the resulting data to the LabQuest machine. From there students can look at the data as it is plotted. In this lesson, their teacher Mrs. Lucas drew some plots on the board. Their assignment was to figure out how to make something move to mimic those plots.
